What the Service does

The Living Word offers AI-assisted scripture guidance: you describe what you're facing, and the Service suggests Bible passages, translations, word studies, and illustrations related to it. It also lets you memorize verses, save scriptures, keep a private journal, and submit prayer requests.

Not professional advice

Content produced by the Service — including AI-generated guidance — is for encouragement, study, and reflection. It is not professional counseling, medical, legal, or financial advice, and it does not create a pastoral or therapeutic relationship. If you are in crisis, please contact local emergency services or a qualified professional.

AI-generated content

AI responses are generated automatically and may be imperfect or occasionally misstate a reference. We compare guidance against trusted translations (such as the ESV), but you are encouraged to read scripture in context and in your preferred Bible translation.

Accounts

• Accounts are optional; guests may use most features without signing in.
• You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials (including Google account access) secure and for activity under your account.
• Saved scriptures, journal entries, and reflections are private to you. Do not store content you wouldn't want stored, and don't use the journal to store others' personal information without their consent.

Acceptable use

• Don't use the Service for unlawful, harmful, harassing, or fraudulent purposes.
• Don't attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
• Don't scrape, resell, or redistribute the Service's AI features as your own product.

Prayer requests and contact

When you submit a prayer request or message, you consent to us storing it, our team reading it, and replying by email. Please don't include highly sensitive information (such as others' health details) that isn't necessary for your request.

Scripture content

Scripture quotations come from public-domain and licensed Bible translations, including the ESV®. "ESV" is a trademark of Good News Publishers. Translation texts remain the property of their respective copyright holders, and use here is for study and reflection.

Intellectual property

The Living Word name, logo, design, and software are owned by us. You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Availability and changes

The Service is provided "as is" and may change or be interrupted. We may update these terms; continued use after a change means you accept it. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
