Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
The Living Word ("we", "us") helps you describe what you're facing and receive scripture that speaks to it. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Contact messages. When you use the contact form we store your name, email address, and message so we can reply.
- Prayer requests. When you submit a prayer request we store your name, email address, and request so we can pray for you and reply. Requests and our replies are visible only to you and to our team.
- Account information. If you choose to create an account (including by signing in with Google), we store your email address, display name, and profile photo. Accounts are optional — most features work without one.
- Private history. Saved scriptures, reflections, and journal entries you create are stored for your account alone and are never shown to other users.
- Usage data. Like most websites, our hosting provider may process basic technical data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and secure the service.
How we use your information
- To reply to your messages and prayer requests by email.
- To provide your account, saved scriptures, and journal history.
- To generate AI-powered scripture guidance. What you type into the dialogue box is sent to our AI provider to produce a response; we do not use it to advertise to you or sell it to third parties.
- To keep the service safe and prevent abuse.
Third parties
- Hosting and database: our app runs on Lovable Cloud (built on Supabase infrastructure), which stores and processes data on our behalf.
- AI providers: scripture guidance requests are processed by AI models through our AI gateway.
- Google sign-in: if you use "Continue with Google", Google authenticates you and shares your name, email, and profile photo with us. Google's own privacy policy applies to your Google account.
- Email delivery: transactional emails (contact confirmations, prayer replies) are sent through our email provider using the address you gave us.
Your choices and rights
- You can delete your saved scriptures, journal entries, and profile from the Account page, or email us and we will delete your account and data.
- You can request a copy, correction, or deletion of your personal information at any time by writing to notify@thelivingwordbibleproject.com.
- You may use the app without an account; guest conversations are not stored under a personal profile.
Children
The Living Word is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Data retention
Contact messages and prayer requests are kept as long as needed to serve you and for our records. Account data is kept until you delete it or ask us to delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service evolves. We will post the new version on this page with an updated date.
